Ramapo Pride

Ramapo Pride

Ramapo Pride provides a safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and questioning (LGBTIQQ) students, and their straight allies. The organization is built around providing activist and educational programming, but also provides a social network for LGBTIQQ students on campus.  Educational events include panels and speakers, such as the Queer 101 Panels, which are panels of volunteers that visit classes to discuss their sexual orientation, related issues and coming out.  Popular social events include Pride Prom, a semi-formal dance for all members of the community, Gay Day at Six Flags, and Out for the Holidays, a holiday dinner for those who cannot embrace their sexuality while at home with their families.  Ramapo Pride is an organization not strictly reserved for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered students – all students who support the community are welcome.
