All Ramapo computer labs offer access to the Internet, the Web through Netscape, and campus E-mail account. Ramapo students use a variety of computing resources for teaching and learning. These include a research-quality, UNIX-based Digital Alpha offering statistical analysis, program languages, and Oracle, a database engine, and Machintosh and Windows-based applications.
More than 30 academic computing labs are open for independent study, in some labs, student assistants are available to provide support.
Applications include Microsoft Professional Office, which includes Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. All labs include networked laser printers.
Labs in the Berrie Center for the Visual and Performing Arts and the H-wing of the academic complex are equipped with Macintosh computers which support Graphic Arts and Video Editing.
Software includes Quark Xpress; Adobe Photoshop; word processing; and Final Draft, a script-writing program. The labs also include scanners, television and printers.
Some computer labs are located in Residence Halls as well as the George T. Potter Library.
