Wellness Wednesday 2016
Wellness Wednesday was held on September 21, 2016 in the Grove as a fair to promote and advocate for wellness. There were free wellness kits, books, smoothies, tatoos, meditation and fun giveaways. The event was sponsored by OSS, the Center for Health and Counseling, Potter Library, Commuter Affairs, Women's Center, Active Minds, the Krame Center, Dining Services and Public Safety. The first 50 students received free "Stop Out Stimga" T-shirts to help promote #RCNJFightTheStigma.
CCEC Runs Student Voter Registration Drive
The Civic and Community Engagement Center (CCEC) ran a voter registration drive on September 13, 2016 Students used Turbo Vote to register and become an active citizen.

Resident Assistants (RAs) of Mackin and Bischoff Residence Halls hosted a BBQ for residents on September 16, 2016, complete with games, prizes, voter registration, and a photo booth.
Latino/@ Heritage Month Begins
Ramapo College began a month of celebration and education in honor of Latino/@ Heritage Month with a ceremony on September 15, 2016. Opening proclamation was read by senior Ramapo officials including President Peter P. Mercer, Tamika Quick, the Assistant Director of Equity & Diversity Programs, and Julian A. Gomez, the Associate Director of Admissions.
Ramapo Students Observe the 15th Anniversary of September 11
Student volunteers set up a 9/11 flag memorial on September 9, 2016 in the Grove to mark the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
J. Lee's Welcomes Students Back with Grand Re-Opening
On September 8, 2016, VP of Enrollment Mangagement and Student Affairs, Chris Romano participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the grand re-opening of J. Lees. J. Lee's is a student lounge frequented by Ramapo commuter students and the space hosts a variety of progamming throughout the academic year. J. Lee's has video games, a pool table, a ping-pong table, board games and usually free popcorn!
The Arching Ceremony Marks First Ramapo Tradition for New Roadrunners
President Mercer shakes the hand of the first student to take part in the Arching Ceremony for the Fall 2016 Semester. First-Year and Transder students take part in this Ramapo tradition and later on complete the circle when they rewalk through the Arch to shake the President's hand just before graduation.
