Yoga and Mindfulness Offered with Counseling Services
Regular yoga and mindfulness practice has been shown to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression as well as reduce cravings for drugs and alcohol. Additionally, regular yoga practice may help improve one's ability to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve mood. Drop-in groups welcome every Thursday at 3 p.m. in ASB-420. No prior experience is needed.
Hype Night Launches Men & Women's Basketball Season
On October 19, 2016, over 400 Roadrunners came out to the Bradley Center to win prizes, play some games, enjoy some music, meet the teams, participate in a dunk contest, and chances to win $500 to the bookstore. Hype Night celebrates the start of the men and women's basketball season at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Men's Soccer Earns 10th Win of Season with 3-0 Match Against WCSU
The Ramapo College men's soccer team blanked non-conference rival Western Connecticut State University 3-0 at the Athletic Center on October 19, 2016. The Roadrunners earned their 10th win of the 2016 season, improving to 10-3-2 overall while the Colonials drop to 5-8-1 on the year. Diversity Day with Equity and Diversity Programs and Student DAC
On October 19, 2016, the Student Diversity Action Committee and Equity and Diversity Programs hosted Diversity Day at Ramapo College. This event acknowledged and celebrated diversity at Ramapo! Students enjoyed foods from different cultures, performances, and fun activities.
Class of 2017 Celebrates 200 Days Until Graduation
Seniors kicked off 200 days until Commencement 2017 on October 17, 2016 with Monday Night Football, free class t-shirts and free food.
Roadrunners Dash for Diabetes
The Ramapo Bio Club and Pre-Med Club hosted a 5K Dash for Diabetes on October 16, 2016 around campus. There were prizes and food served, and all proceeds were donated to the American Diabetes Association.
Carnival Welcomes Familes to Campus on Oktoberfest Weekend
Ramapo College hosted "Family Day" which included a carnival for students and their families at the Bandshell on October 8, 2016. There was face painting, classic carnival games, food as well as pumpkin picking and painting. The event was part of Oktoberfest Weekend.
Oktoberfest Weekend Carries on with FallFest
Students celebrated the season with FallFest in the Laurel Courts on October 7, 2016. There were inflatable games, spin art, music, candy apples, and Late Night Dining options. This event was part of Oktoberfest Weekend and was sponsored by the Student Government Association.

Lourdes Ashley Hunter Honors Queer and Trans History Month as Keynote Speaker
Lourdes Ashley Hunter was the keynote speaker for Queer and Trans History Month, which was honored on October 5, 2016. She focused on the celebration of diverse experiences. This keynote centered on uplifting the most marginalized people and centering them in our daily conversations. Lourdes is currently based in Washington D.C., is the co-founder and National Director of Trans Women of Color Collective (TWOCC) and the Chief Operations Officer of Casa Rub LGBT Center based in Washington D.C.
