Pre-Freshmen Summer Program Funding

Every entering freshmen class must attend the Pre-Freshman Summer Studies Program. This 6-week program allows for incoming freshmen to earn up to eight college credits, live on campus and begin their college career before the start of the fall semester. All costs of attending the Pre-Freshmen Summer Program are covered by the EOF Program, including tuition, fees, room, board and books.

EOF Freshmen Two-Year Funding Package (for qualified EOF Freshmen)

Students who successfully complete the mandatory Pre-Freshmen Summer Studies Program with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible to receive a 2-year funding package that would include  the federal Pell Grant, NJ Tuition Aid Grant, the NJ EOF State Grant, a subsidized student loan and an institutional grant. This package covers the cost of attendance (tuition, fees, campus housing and meal plan) as well as the cost of textbooks for the fall and spring semesters of the freshmen year. Those students who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA for the fall and spring semester of their freshmen year are awarded a $5000 institutional grant to their federal and state grants in the second year.

Additional Scholarships for Continuing EOF Students

After the first year, EOF students can look to additional scholarship opportunities offered by Ramapo College for all eligible Ramapo students.

Provost Scholarships are for continuing students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. There are also a number of General Scholarships provided by organizations, corporations, alumni and friends of the College that are added throughout the year. To see current scholarship opportunities for continuing Ramapo students, visit the Scholarships page on the Financial Aid website.

Other Financial Assistance

Our EOF Program takes special interest in helping students pursue experiential opportunities such as Study Abroad, National Student Exchange or domestic and international cooperative education programs as well as assisting those Ramapo EOF students who want to take courses during the summer session.

Students can also apply for awards which cover courses/career related activities including professional educational events, conferences, or enrollment fees as well as graduate school related fees such as application fees, entrance exam and test prep course fees. EOF students interested in these financial assistance opportunities should contact the EOF Office for more information. Additional financial assistance is based on availability of funds.
