CLEP exams are nationally standardized credit by exam tests recognized by most institutions of higher education across the nation. The College-Level Examination Program gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they know, by earning qualifying scores on the appropriate examinations.

Ramapo students must request an Off-Campus Study Form from the Center for Student Success before registering to take a CLEP exam. This is an online request.  Please bring this form with you to your appointment.  If you have any questions regarding Off-Campus Study please contact Student Success at success@ramapo.edu.

Test-takers must have a valid, government-issued ID that has both a photo and a signature. Please see the acceptable forms of ID provided below the registration instructions. Students who arrive at the Testing Center without a face mask, copy of their CLEP Registration Ticket and the required valid, government-issued ID will not be allowed to test. 

CLEP Examination Fee: $89.00 per Exam + $40.00 Proctor Fee

If you plan to take more than one CLEP test during a proctored session, the fee is $70. There is a $10 discount when taking two tests at once. Please make sure to remind your proctors that you are taking more than one test when you arrive.
