The global pandemic of COVID-19 has impacted all corners of the globe and has forever changed our realities. The first impacts of the pandemic on Ramapo College were felt by study abroad participants. Given the expertise of Ramapo’s international team with global risk management, they were able to provide both guidance to the College administration, as well as respond quickly and effectively to the situation. More than 20 students were studying abroad on spring semester programs at the time that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of State issued alerts to the public not to travel abroad.
