Off-Site Storage

Off-Site Storage Retrieval

Over the next few years, the library will undergo an extensive and much needed renovation. During this time, we are unable to keep the library’s full collection on-site. If you need resources that are currently not on campus, don’t worry! We can get you what you
need!

If you are unsure if your item is on campus or in off-site storage, first search the online catalog. If the item has the “OFF-SITE” label, it means it is located in off-site storage. See the image below for an example.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Our enhanced Interlibrary Loan program offers faster and easier access to materials that we do
not own or that are in storage, and it provides you with updated information about your requests.
To access, please see https://www.ramapo.edu/library/interlibrary-loan/ and login with your
regular Ramapo email username and password.

If you need an extended loan period for your item(s), you can request renewals through your ILL account, or contact ill@ramapo.edu with your request.

RETRIEVING ITEMS FROM STORAGE

For materials that need to be retrieved from storage, please email the Collection Development
Librarians, Christina Connor and Samantha Wittenberg, at colldev@ramapo.edu for assistance. To ensure we retrieve the correct item, please include the link to the catalog record as part of your request.

It is recommended you first try Interlibrary Loan, especially if items are needed only for a
semester and are not for Course Reserves.

COURSE RESERVES

For faculty who need items retrieved from storage for Course Reserves, please first email colldev@ramapo.edu with the retrieval request and then fill out the course reserves form, noting in the comments section that you have requested the item from off-site storage.

Thank you for your patience during this time. Please be assured librarians and staff are working
hard to provide you the best service possible during construction!
