Applicants who wish to apply for EOF would select \u201cYes\u201d to applying for EOF on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/admissions\/apply\/\">application for admission<\/a> and complete the EOF-specific questions on the application for admissions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"financially_qualify_eof\" class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>How do I qualify for EOF?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>First Year applicants must meet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/undergraduate\/educational-opportunity-fund\/admission-requirements\/\">academic eligibility requirements<\/a> as well as be financially eligible for EOF. The financial eligibility requirements are the same for all EOF Programs in the State of New Jersey. Eligibility is based on the total number in household and the total amount of income (taxable and non-taxable income as well as assets). Nontaxable income includes Social Security Income, Unemployment, Disability, TANF\/Welfare, Child Support and other untaxed income. The stuident&#8217;s financial aid application is used to determine and verify eligibility for EOF.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer applicants must submit an EOF Transfer Verification Form with your application. If your EOF Program has its own EOF Transfer form, you may submit that instead. Transfer applicants will not be admitted into EOF unless this document is submitted. This document confirms your enrollment in the EOF Program as well as how many semesters of the EOF State Grant you have received. The State of New Jersey allows for NJ Dreamers\/ Undocumented Students to apply for state aid programs like the Tuition Aid Grant, the EOF Program, NJ STARS I and II, the Community College Opportunity Grant, Garden State Guarantee Program and the Governor\u2019s Urban Scholarship so long as they meet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hesaa.org\/Pages\/NJAlternativeApplication.aspx\">specific criteria<\/a>. Applicants should use Ramapo School Code (009344) when completing their FAFSA form. If you are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.ed.gov\/sa\/fafsa\">FAFSA<\/a> must be submitted if you are applying for EOF. It is recommended that you submit your FAFSA at the same time as your college application.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a qualified NJ Dreamer, you do not have to submit the FAFSA but will need to submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hesaa.org\/Pages\/NJAlternativeApplication.aspx\">NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/a>\u00a0(NJAFAA). Those applicants who fall on the lower end of the academic requirements may need to participate in an interview to determine eligibility for EOF before a decision is issued.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GPA:<\/strong> 2.5 or higher (on 4.0 scale)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Class Rank:<\/strong> Top one-third of graduating class (if rank reported)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First Year applicants applying to the Nursing Program, Biology major or one of the medical programs listed under the Biology major should meet the admissions criteria listed below to be considered for admission. Our\u00a0 except our<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog\/wp-getpage.php?p=pre-med-health\/\">\u00a0Articulation Programs<\/a>\u00a0(Biology\/Dental-LECOM, Biology\/Optometry-SUNY Optometry, Biology\/Osteopathy-LECOM, and Biology\/Pharmacy-LECOM). If you choose to submit an SAT or ACT score, please indicate that on your application. The program does award additional state aid to all EOF students to supplement state aid and minimize the out of pocket cost.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"EOF_award\" class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>How much is the EOF Four Year Scholarship? What about other assistance?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>Ramapo College of New Jersey EOF Scholarship of up to $5,000 per year ($20,000 over 4 years).<\/p>\n<p>Any EOF student who enters Ramapo College through our EOF Summer Studies Institute is eligible for the Ramapo College Grant (RCG) Scholarship. To earn the scholarship, students must successfully complete the EOF Summer Studies Institute with a 2.5 or above GPA. Students who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA are eligible for the following:<\/p>\n<p>Year 1: $5,000 and up to $1,400 towards books<\/p>\n<p>Year 2: $5,000<\/p>\n<p>Year 3: $5,000<\/p>\n<p>Year 4: $5,000<\/p>\n<p>There are many expenses associated with attending college. There are the tuition\/fees, room, board, and books for the fall and spring terms. However, there could also be summer session tuition and fees, and other fees for CLEP examinations, graduate school applications, graduate school entrance examinations, and more. Students seeking assistance with covering courses\/career-related activities including college-level proficiency exams, NYU Language Proficiency exams, National Student Exchange Program enrollment fees, professional association educational events, board certification fees, and professional licensure fees, can apply for funding. \u00a0Students can also apply for awards that cover graduate school-related fees including admission applications, entrance exams, and test prep courses.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, other scholarship opportunities are available to EOF students. Thanks to the generosity of external donors, such as alumni, foundations, corporations, and friends of the college, there are scholarships offered specifically for EOF Scholars. More information on these awards and other externally funded scholarships can be found at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/scholarships\/\">https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/scholarships\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"EOF_grant\" class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>What is covered by my EOF Grant?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>The EOF State Grant is applied to all direct costs on a student\u2019s bill.<\/p>\n<p>Incoming EOF First Year students will also receive a $1,400 Book Stipend ($700 per semester) to purchase their books and school supplies from the Ramapo College Bookstore for the first year only.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Do I have to repay the EOF Grant?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>No. Students do not need to repay federal or state grants. The EOF State Grant is a grant awarded by the State of New Jersey to EOF students only.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"EOF_finaid_award\" class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>As an EOF student, what would my financial aid award look like?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>All admitted students will receive a finance plan from Ramapo College as long as the student has submitted a <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.ed.gov\/sa\/fafsa\">Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a>\u00a0(FAFSA) or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hesaa.org\/Pages\/NJAlternativeApplication.aspx\">NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/a>\u00a0(NJAFAA). FAFSA applicants <b>must\u00a0<\/b>include their Social Security Number on their application for admission to match their application to their FAFSA account.<\/p>\n<p>NJ Dreamers who use the NJAFAA <strong>must<\/strong> include their Taxpayer ID (if they have received one) on the application for admission to match their application to their NJAFAA. If NJ Dreamers do not have a Taxpayer ID, their application will be matched by other information found on both the NJAFA and Admissions applications.<\/p>\n<p>The Financing Plan for EOF students can include some or all of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Federal Pell Grant<\/li>\n<li>Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)<\/li>\n<li>Federal Work Study<\/li>\n<li>NJ Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)<\/li>\n<li>Institutional Awards<\/li>\n<li>Federal Direct Loans (Subsidized and\/or Unsubsidized)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The NJ EOF Grant is posted to a student&#8217;s account upon successfully completing the EOF Summer Program.<\/p>\n<p>EOF Transfer students who transfer to Ramapo with an Associate degree from a NJ Community College for the Fall semester with a 3.5 GPA or higher are also reviewed for a $2,000 transfer scholarship. Priority deadline for Transfer scholarships is March 1 as transfer scholarships are highly competitive.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"EOF_deposit\" class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>How do I finalize my enrollment in the EOF Program?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>In order to complete your enrollment to Ramapo College and the EOF Program, admitted students need to complete the Offer to Admission form and make their $25 deposit on their <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.ramapo.edu\/apply\/status\">application portal<\/a>. The $25 deposit covers your enrollment fee. How do I schedule my placement test?<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>All incoming EOF First Year students must take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test to determine proper course placement in English and Math. Students can register for placement testing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/\">Testing Center<\/a> website. There you can also find out if you qualify to be exempt from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/essay\/\">Reading\/Essay<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/math\/\">Math<\/a> Placement Test based on your SAT\/ACT test scores, AP\/IB test scores or dual enrollment course.<\/p>\n<p>Students who are required to take Calculus for their major or choose to take Calculus at Ramapo must take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/math\/\">Calculus Placement Test<\/a>, regardless of whether they are exempt from the Math placement test.<\/p>\n<p>Placement Testing for all incoming first year students must be completed by the end of the first week in June in order to prepare for the EOF Pre-First Year Summer Program Orientation. The ACCUPLACER Placement Test is designed to help determine where an incoming student will begin with their English and Math courses. Students who place into pre-college level, or remedial, reading, writing and\/or math courses will take these courses during the summer program. Those who place into college-level courses will take college-level courses during the summer.
