<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What is the EOF Program?<\/div>
\n

The Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) Program, is a state-funded program designed to provide an opportunity for higher education to disadvantaged New Jersey residents who would be unable to attend and\/or succeed academically in college without the financial assistance and special services that are part of this program.<\/p>\n

The program is intended for students who show potential and exhibit evidence of academic and\/or creative promise but who have limited educational and financial resources for college because of inadequate high school preparation and have economic backgrounds that reflect a history of poverty.<\/p>\n

The mission of the EOF Program at Ramapo College of New Jersey is to provide access to higher education and support for highly motivated students who exhibit the potential for success, but who come from families\/communities disadvantaged by low income and a lack of access to quality educational preparation necessary to attend college.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is there a separate application for EOF?<\/div>
\n

There is no separate application to apply for EOF at Ramapo College. Applicants who wish to apply for EOF would select \u201cYes\u201d to applying for EOF on their application for admission<\/a> and complete the EOF-specific questions on the application for admissions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>How do I qualify for EOF?<\/div>
\n

First Year applicants must meet academic eligibility requirements<\/a> as well as be financially eligible for EOF. The financial eligibility requirements are the same for all EOF Programs in the State of New Jersey. Eligibility is based on the total number in household and the total amount of income (taxable and non-taxable income as well as assets). Nontaxable income includes Social Security Income, Unemployment, Disability, TANF\/Welfare, Child Support and other untaxed income. The stuident’s financial aid application is used to determine and verify eligibility for EOF.<\/p>\n

Transfer applicants must submit an EOF Transfer Verification Form with your application. If your EOF Program has its own EOF Transfer form, you may submit that instead. Transfer applicants will not be admitted into EOF unless this document is submitted. If transfer applicants are not part of the EOF Program at their current institution, they must contact the Ramapo College EOF Office<\/a> to discuss how to apply for EOF at Ramapo College.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What documents do I have to submit as an EOF Transfer applicant?<\/div>

All EOF Transfer applicants must submit the Ramapo College EOF Transfer Verification Form<\/a> or an EOF Transfer Form from the current school\u2019s EOF Office. This document confirms your enrollment in the EOF Program as well as how many semesters of the EOF State Grant you have received. Transfer applicants must also list Ramapo College (School ID#:\u00a0<\/b>009344) on their updated financial aid application so we can verify that you are still financially eligible to continue receiving the EOF State Grant.<\/p>\n

If transfer applicants are not part of the EOF Program at their current institution, they must contact the Ramapo College EOF Office<\/a> to discuss how to apply for EOF at Ramapo College.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>I am a NJ Dreamer\/Undocumented Student. Can I still apply for EOF? <\/div>
\n

Yes! The State of New Jersey allows for NJ Dreamers\/ Undocumented Students to apply for state aid programs like the Tuition Aid Grant, the EOF Program, NJ STARS I and II, the Community College Opportunity Grant, Garden State Guarantee Program and the Governor\u2019s Urban Scholarship so long as they meet specific criteria<\/a>. You will need to complete a\u00a0NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/a> on the HESAA website and have graduate from a NJ high school that you attended for at least 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I apply for financial aid if I'm applying for EOF?<\/div>

The FAFSA form is available\u00a0at\u00a0www.studentaid.gov<\/a>. Applicants should use Ramapo School Code (009344) when completing their FAFSA form. If you are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, the FAFSA<\/a> must be submitted if you are applying for EOF. It is recommended that you submit your FAFSA at the same time as your college application.<\/p>\n

If you are a qualified NJ Dreamer, you do not have to submit the FAFSA but will need to submit the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/a>\u00a0(NJAFAA). It is recommended that you submit your NJAFAA at the same time as your college application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What are the academic requirements for first year students applying to EOF?<\/div>
\n

First Year applicants need to meet the academic requirements<\/a> below to be considered for admission to Ramapo College through the EOF Program. Those applicants who fall on the lower end of the academic requirements may need to participate in an interview to determine eligibility for EOF before a decision is issued.<\/p>\n
