By the beginning of summer, I found myself confidently cracking jokes with them. I had presented many projects throughout the year and talked to a lot of classmates, but it was all thanks to them that I could talk without worries. Thanks to them I found the courage to speak.<\/p>\n

In addition to being published, select students will once again be able to workshop with Ramapo writing experts. Along with their \u201chelpers,\u201d they will also be invited to a ceremony at Ramapo in their honor in the Fall of 2023.<\/p>\n Do you have a specific narrative about someone who helped you? Don’t just tell us about them, tell us the story of what they did! If you’re chosen for publication both you AND the person who helped you will be invited to Ramapo for a special ceremony in your honor.<\/p>\n We are looking for first-hand, in the moment narratives of change – stories of specific times when someone came into the life of a high schooler and helped them achieve, self-actualize, or otherwise be their best selves. Stories can be about moments of doubt, crises, or challenging times, but should focus on resilience and triumph due to the help they received from others.
