Please review the below information to ensure that your home technology is compatible with remote STAMP 4S proctoring. <em>If you do not have the necessary technology to test remotely, please consider taking STAMP with us in-person.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please follow these steps before registering for your remote testing session:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">You are responsible for ensuring the readiness of the computer you will be using for the test and that the following requirements are met:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/avantassessment.com\/remote-testing\/technology-guide-for-remote-testing\">Assessment Technology Guide for Remote Proctored Testing<\/a> page to review technology requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Take a STAMP 4S <a href=\"https:\/\/avantassessment.com\/sample-tests\/\">Sample Test<\/a> to confirm your computer is configured properly and all technology preparation steps are complete before registering for the test. This will also help familiarize yourself with the layout of the test and the types of questions and prompts that you can expect.\n<ul>\n<li>Confirm that you can record and playback your Speaking test response.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm that you can type your Writing test response in the language you are testing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Download and install <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/download\">Zoom Client for Meetings<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/test\">Test<\/a> that Zoom was setup correctly. Please use the option to join with video.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.registerblast.com\/ramapo\">Sign up<\/a> for a remote testing session. The cost of a test session is $40 to be paid at time of the test registration.\n<ul>\n<li>You will receive an email to your provided email address with your appointment confirmation within 1 business day of registering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordions\">\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> Is this a secure way to test?<\/p><div>\n<div>\n<p>Zoom is an online system that creates video, audio, and wireless screen-sharing experiences. More information about the Zoom platform can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201362033-Getting-Started-on-Windows-and-Mac\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ramapo College takes test security very seriously and Zoom is an approved vendor for remote proctoring by Avant.<\/p>\n<p>Please note, all tests require that the identification of the student taking the test must be verified by the use of a picture ID issued by a state or federal agency.\u00a0 We will check your photo ID at the beginning of your test. When you fill out the appointment registration form you will see the available test days and times.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> What are the technology requirements for remote STAMP testing<\/p><div>\n<p>A comprehensive list of requirements and supported operating systems can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/avantassessment.com\/remote-testing\/technology-guide-for-remote-testing\">here<\/a>. Please ensure that you have the proper technology requirements before emailing the Testing Center to schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> How long is this exam?<\/p><div>\n<p>You will have 3 hours to complete the assessment. Your 3 hours will begin when you start the assessment. Breaks are not allowed so properly prepare yourself. On average, test takers take approximately 2 hours to fully complete the assessment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are using a laptop for your test, please ensure you have it connected to a power source so that your battery stays charged for the duration of the test.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> What is the cost of the STAMP 4S Placement Test?<\/p><div>\n<p>There is a $40 test fee that covers the cost of the test and remote proctoring.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> When do I receive my scores?<\/p><div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">STAMP test scores are usually available within 3-4 business days of the test date. The Testing Center will e-mail a copy of your Individual Student Score Report to your Ramapo College e-mail account.
