That is, students pursuing a teaching certification must choose a major (for instance, mathematics, or biology, etc.) and follow the requirements of the Teacher Education Program.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Ramapo College students majoring in Mathematics with &#8220;Teacher Education Track&#8221; obtain:\n<ul>\n<li>A teaching certification in\u00a0<strong>Secondary Education, <\/strong>called Content Endorsement<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(for teaching typically grades 6-12), by fulfilling the Secondary Education requirements of the\u00a0Teacher Education Program,<\/li>\n<li>or they can obtain a teaching certification in\u00a0<strong>Elementary Education,\u00a0<\/strong>called Elementary Endorsement,\u00a0by fulfilling the Elementary Education requirements of the\u00a0Teacher Education Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Any student who is on their way to obtain the Secondary Education certification is only a few steps away from obtaining the Elementary Education certification in addition to the Secondary Education. Contact the Teacher Education Program for more details, as for some college students it is worth obtaining both certifications.
