The environmental science major at Ramapo College educates students to understand environmental complexities at local, regional and global scales from a scientific perspective. Students learn an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to environmental problem solving, while gaining essential laboratory, field, and communication, analytical and learning skills. Students learn about issues happening in their immediate surroundings, which often results in an enhanced interest in academic study. In countries with a foreign language, students have the opportunity to use the language on a day to day basis, reinforcing their commitment to foreign language study.<\/p>\n
