As the world becomes an increasingly international environment, it is important to gain a world view to understand the people different from your own culture. This is crucial in the health care field where you will meet people from different backgrounds and have to adapt your skills to better serving them. You will have the opportunity to expand your global awareness by studying abroad. This is also a great way to get out of the classroom and do hands on work in another country all while building your resume. As a pre-med student you have the opportunity to study public health in both underdeveloped countries and advanced health care locations.<\/p>\n
