We write to share a partnership with Uwill &#8211; a telehealth online platform where students can speak with a mental health counselor for 30 minute virtual sessions free of charge.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/news\/slide\/ramapo-college-students-will-have-access-to-24-7-mental-health-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/news\/slide\/ramapo-college-students-will-have-access-to-24-7-mental-health-support\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687351326486000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2wkjj1XXe-J9dio1gVa0FY\">Through funding from the State of New Jersey<\/a>, the partnership with Uwill expands mental health counseling options for Ramapo College students in addition to what is already offered through on-campus Counseling Services. Uwill offers students free, immediate access to teletherapy through its easy to use online platform, as well as wellness modules. The wellness modules will help you relax and recharge your mind and body with Uwill&#8217;s instructor-led wellness events and programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">While we know that the summer months are upon you, we write because the UWill program is available to Ramapo College students right\u00a0now.\u00a0 We know that social and emotional pressures might be something you are presently coping with, so it is important to us that we immediately communicate about your access to UWill.\u00a0 You can expect us to roll out additional information about UWill again in Fall 2023.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Why Uwill?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Uwill is Private. Secure. Confidential.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Uwill allows you to choose a counselor (who is not a Ramapo College employee) based upon the type of counselor that meets your mental health needs. Uwill\u2019s counselors are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully licensed;<\/li>\n<li>Completed mandatory diversity &amp; cultural competency training;<\/li>\n<li>Average 12 years of clinical experience;<\/li>\n<li>50 states and international coverage;<\/li>\n<li>11 languages spoken;<\/li>\n<li>40% identify as BIPOC;<\/li>\n<li>25% identify as LGBTQIA+.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">How do I access Uwill?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Access is quick and easy. You can create a profile and book your first session in just minutes by clicking<a href=\"http:\/\/app.uwill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/app.uwill.com&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687351326486000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1RMy1kbpRcNtZ2ny_TSeDA\">\u00a0here.<\/a>\u00a0More information about Uwill and Counseling Services can be found on the Counseling Services\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/counseling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/counseling\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687351326486000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1YjkIfoQk1eTjZHmoXhrlW\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Counseling Services at Ramapo College<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Students can continue to access mental health support through Counseling Services by calling 201-684-7522. Uwill is offered as an additional support program. Counseling Services offers comprehensive mental health services for students including access to in-person (and virtual) therapists, 24\/7 emergency crisis intervention services, access to a psychiatrist, and drop-in hours.\u00a0 Drop-in hours are\u00a0brief, confidential meetings with one of our counselors to discuss a specific concern. For drop-in hours, no appointment is necessary and students are seen on a first-come, first-served basis Monday-Thursday (for summer), 1:00pm to 3:00pm in D-216 (or virtual) by calling 201-684-7522.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mental health emergency support is also offered after hours, weekends and holidays through Counseling Services by calling 201-684-7522 and following the phone prompts for the emergency on-call counselor.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you have questions about Uwill, please reach out to Counseling Services.
