Operation Link-Up Scholarship

Operation Link-Up and Ramapo College have shared a beneficial relationship since the tenure of Ramapo’s third president, Dr. Robert Scott. During the following years Ramapo has been pleased to work with Carey Jenkins and the staff of Operation Link- Up to provide the opportunity of a college education to inner-city students from Paterson.   When Operation Link-Up closed its doors in 2011, Mr. Jenkins recognized the long standing relationship with the College by creating a scholarship fund. The Operation Link-Up Scholarship benefits graduates of the program who are enrolled at Ramapo.

  • Benefits graduates of The Operation Link-Up program
  • Applicants can be of any major; must be in good academic standing
  • Scholarship to be used for expenses related to student/faculty research, attending conferences, textbooks, travel to internships and other activities of an academic nature
  • Applicants must submit an essay describing what they will fund with the award
  • Recipient chosen by Operation Link-Up Committee

2015 Recipient

Danielle Feanny

Danielle Feanny of Paterson, N.J. is a business administration/management major with a minor in international business. She has a 3.20 grade point average.

At Ramapo, Danielle is a member of SOCA (Students of Caribbean Ancestry). She also works in the Registrar’s Office.

Off campus, she works as a part-time residential counselor for the Department for Persons with Disabilities located in Oak Ridge, N.J.



2014 Recipient

Danielle Treacy

Danielle Treacy is a graduate of Passaic County Technical Institue and is currently a sophomore at Ramapo College. She is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and has an International Business minor. Danielle has earned a 3.14 grade point average. Her hometown is Paterson, NJ.


2013 Recipient

Kashema Blair

Kashema Blair is a senior majoring in Nursing. She attended a workshop this spring sponsored by the NJ Nursing Students Association to learn more about nursing careers and to prepare for the NCLEX examination. Kashema is from Paterson, NJ and has earned a 2.73 grade point average.
