It is 12 characters long consisting of digits (0-9) and letters (A-F). It can be represented in different notations depending on the manufacturer of the device.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples are below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>00-B0-D0-63-C2-26<\/li>\n<li>00:B0:D0:63:C2:26<\/li>\n<li>00.B0.D0.63.C2.26<\/li>\n<li>00B0.D063.C226<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Finding the MAC Address of Your Device<\/h3>\n<p class=\"justify-text\">Most manufacturers will print the MAC address on a label on the back or on the bottom of the device. To find the MAC address quickly, it is recommended that you physically inspect your device for this label. If you cannot find the label or it is not printed on the device, you will need to go through the device&#8217;s system menus to find it. Below is a list of common devices with instructions on how to find the MAC address by navigating system menus.<\/p>\n<p>Using the list below, select the device you wish to find the MAC address of:<\/p>\n<h4>Game Consoles (Playstation, Xbox, Wii)<\/h4>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Playstation 5<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p><b>NOTE:<\/b> This game console supports both a wired and wireless connection. You must use a wired connection via Ethernet cable to gain Internet access. A wired connection can be established by purchasing a Wired LAN Adapter compatible with the Wii. This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Support-UtechSmart-Ethernet-Chromebook-Specific\/dp\/B00F41TWAO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wired LAN Adapter for the Wii<\/a> has been tested and verified to work on our network. We recommend purchasing this adapter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"justify-text\">There are two methods to retrieving the MAC address of the Wired LAN Adapter for the Wii: Using your Wii or Using your computer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"justify-text\">Using your Wii<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Plug the LAN Adapter into the USB port on your Wii.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on your Wii.<\/li>\n<li>From the home screen, select the <b>Wii<\/b> button in the lower left corner.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Wii Settings<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <b>right arrow<\/b> to advance to the next set of settings.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Internet<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Console Information<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The MAC address will then be displayed on the screen under <b>LAN Adapter MAC Address<\/b>. If the LAN Adapter MAC Address reads\u00a0<b>00-00-00-00-00-00<\/b>, this is incorrect and you must use your computer to get the correct MAC address. Please proceed to the next method.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Using your computer<\/h3>\n<h4>Mac OS X<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Plug the LAN Adapter into the USB port on your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Apple icon<\/b> located at the top left corner of your screen.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>System Preferences&#8230;<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Network<\/b> icon.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <b>USB Ethernet<\/b> on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Advanced<\/b> button on the bottom right.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Hardware<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n<li>The MAC address will be displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Windows 7\/8<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Plug the LAN Adapter into the USB port on your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the automatic driver installation to complete.<\/li>\n<li>Plug the Ethernet cable into the LAN adapter.<\/li>\n<li>On your keyboard, press the <b>Windows key<\/b> and the letter<b>R<\/b> together. A run dialog box should appear on your screen.<\/li>\n<li>In the run dialog box, type <b>ncpa.cpl<\/b> then click <b>OK<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Right click <b>Ethernet 2<\/b> or <b>Local Area Connection 2<\/b> and select <b>Status<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Details&#8230;<\/b> button.<\/li>\n<li>Look for the line that says <b>Physical Address<\/b>.
