General Check-Out Information<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"369\">Thank you for being an essential part of our residential community.\u00a0 As the Spring semester comes to a close, we want to ensure that you have all the necessary information regarding the Spring 2026 closing procedures.\u00a0 Please take a moment to review the details below so you can plan accordingly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All students must vacate their housing assignment 24 hours after their last exam or by 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2026, whichever comes first.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In cases where there are less than 24 hours between the last exam and the official closing date\/time of the Residence Halls, residents must still vacate by 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 12, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>There is no paperwork to complete the check-out process.\u00a0\u00a0Upon check-out, all residents and their belongings must be removed from all residential areas.<\/p>\n<p>Please keep in mind that students are expected to follow\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/web-resources\/exams-spring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">final exam schedule<\/a> posted on the web.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/reslife\/check-out-checklist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spring Semester Resident Check-out Checklist<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"s2\"><\/a>&#x1f4dd;Check-out Extension Request<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"313\" data-end=\"518\">If your final exam <strong>begins<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"335\" data-end=\"377\">after 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026<\/strong>, and you need to stay until <strong data-start=\"406\" data-end=\"444\">9:00 AM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026<\/strong>, you are required to submit a <strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"515\">Check-Out Extension Request by Wednesday, April 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"658\">Students with approved extensions who <strong data-start=\"558\" data-end=\"579\">stay past 9:00 AM<\/strong> will incur a <strong data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"623\">$75 improper checkout fine<\/strong> and must <strong data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"655\">vacate immediately<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"767\">You will be notified of your request status via your <strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"737\">Ramapo College email<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"764\">Monday, May 5, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a class=\"btn\" style=\"font-weight: bold\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/EQsdDghz5XZgBdG46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check-out Extension Request<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"infoBox col-sm-12 col-lg-12 \"><div class=\"boxContent\">\n<h3><a id=\"s3\"><\/a>&#x23f3; Overnight guests are <strong data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"509\">not permitted on campus after this date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"infoBox col-sm-12 col-lg-12 \"><div class=\"boxContent\">\n<h3><a id=\"s9\"><\/a>&#x1f50d; Closing Room Inspections<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"209\" data-end=\"525\">Final room inspections will take place <strong data-start=\"248\" data-end=\"306\">after residence halls and apartments have been vacated<\/strong>. All occupants are expected to <strong data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"355\">work together<\/strong> to ensure the room, suite, or apartment is properly prepared for inspection. Residents who fail the inspection or have prohibited items will be <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"522\">billed accordingly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"810\">The College is <strong data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"588\">not responsible for belongings left behind<\/strong>.
