{"id":1529,"date":"2017-06-21T15:35:07","date_gmt":"2017-06-21T19:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/publicsafety\/?page_id=1529"},"modified":"2018-01-29T10:13:32","modified_gmt":"2018-01-29T15:13:32","slug":"road-closure-route-202-culvert-replacement-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/publicsafety\/road-closure-route-202-culvert-replacement-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Route 202 Culvert Replacement Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Route 202 Culvert Replacement Project is Now Complete<\/h3>\n<p>Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:<\/p>\n<p>I write to share with you that, after several months of road closures because of construction, the Route 202 Culvert Project is now complete and the area has reopened to vehicular traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Having one of two access points to our campus closed since July has been a hardship especially when the project appeared to be stalled.<\/p>\n<p>Ramapo College is therefore very grateful for the outstanding efforts of The Joseph Sanzari Construction Company, the County of Bergen, the Township of Mahwah and its Police Department, as well as the many operating engineers and workers who took charge of the project and brought it to completion in less than one month.<\/p>\n<p>I also want to thank you all for the patience you have shown during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Peter P. Mercer, President of Ramapo College; and Stephan Lally, President of the Ramapo College Student Government Association.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<h3>Road Closure: Route 202 Culvert Replacement Project<\/h3>\n<p>Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:<\/p>\n<p>We write to update you on the message that was sent on June 20<sup>th<\/sup> about the Route 202 Culvert Replacement Project. We learned today that the project will begin tomorrow \u2013 Wednesday, July 19 \u2013 and will result in a section of the Route 202 roadway being closed to all traffic 24\/7, including nights and weekends, for approximately four (4) months, weather and other issues permitting.<\/p>\n<p>The new traffic pattern for the road closure will direct all cars coming from the south of campus (Route 202 from Oakland area, Darlington Avenue\/Campgaw Road area) onto MacArthur Boulevard to Route 17 North. All RCNJ traffic coming from south of the campus will be directed to the exit at West Ramapo Avenue or Route 202\/Ramapo Valley Road.<\/p>\n<p>We do not expect to close the South Gate entrance\/exit at this time; however, there will be no traffic access to the South Gate from Route 202 south of the campus (Oakland area) until the project is completed. Traffic detour signs will be posted by the Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Please plan accordingly and allow additional time for your commute.
