April 3, 2020Remote Coursework Delivery Status-Check Survey
TO: All Students
FROM: Susan Gaulden, Interim Provost
As you are well aware, the abrupt transition to remote delivery of Spring 2020 coursework at Ramapo College was unexpected but had to happen due to factors beyond our control, principally the escalating impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic and Governor Murphy’s Executive Orders 104 and 107. Since our faculty had to convert many in-person classes to remote learning experiences in such a compressed time period, we assume there is likely some room for improvement. Even so, I want to commend the creative, effective, and resourceful efforts of our faculty and staff and the incredible adaptiveness and willingness to adjust to the “new normal” exhibited by our students.
Now that you have experienced remote delivery of Ramapo Spring 2020 coursework/remote learning as well as virtual delivery support services for two weeks, it is time to check in and determine how well things are going. Please complete at your earliest convenience an anonymous status-check Qualtrics survey, which may be accessed via the Qualtrics link in my email message. We ask for your honest and valuable response to this important status-check survey by the end of the day on Friday, April 10, 2020. Please be assured that aggregated responses will be used whenever possible to improve operations at the College during these challenging times.
I wish you a meaningful continued remote learning experience and productive and rewarding rest of the Spring 2020 semester.
