College Courses for High School Students

There are three ways for high school students to enroll in Ramapo College undergraduate courses.

  1. Eligible students from high schools shall be permitted to take undergraduate College courses for credit.  Currently enrolled high school students who wish to attend Ramapo College must complete the Student Information Form and submit it to the Office of Admissions.  Once the form is submitted, students will follow the admissions process and procedures for non-matriculated students.
  2. Ramapo College has established dual enrollment partnerships with high schools that will allow qualified high school students to enroll in courses at Ramapo College that will satisfy their high school’s curricular graduation requirements while also earning college credit.  All academic-related matters must be approved by the Dean of the respective school where the course is housed before the partnerships are approved.
  3. Ramapo College has established dual enrollment partnerships with high schools that will allow qualified high school students to enroll in College-equivalent courses delivered at their high school by high school instructors while also earning college credit.  There are various parameters of the agreement to ensure that all coursework and credits delivered at the high school match Ramapo College’s learning outcomes, academic standards, and follow agreed-upon protocol (e.g., approval of instructors, tuition model).  All academic-related matters must be approved by the Dean of the respective school where the course is housed before the partnerships are approved.  High school students will apply to the Ramapo College Dual Enrollment Program by using the Non-Degree and Visiting Student application.  In order to participate, students must be from high schools who have a certified agreement and partnership with Ramapo College.  All non-matriculated policies and procedures apply to these students.
