Questions about Faculty Alternative Testing Agreement<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. What is it?<\/strong>:<\/strong> It\u2019s a form that outlines the rules and guidelines for how you want exams proctored for your course.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Why am I being asked to fill it out?:<\/span> A student(s) in your class has indicated that they would like to use their approved alternative testing accommodations in your course.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Can you send me the link for the Testing Agreement? I can’t find the email that included the link to the Agreement…:<\/strong> No problem. Reach out to us at <\/span>osstests@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a> and let us know. The link you receive is a totally unique, course-specific link not shared by anyone else.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Do I have to complete the Faculty Alternative Testing Agreement?:<\/strong> Yes. We cannot process your student\u2019s exam request without your completed Agreement.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. How often do I have to fill the Agreement out?<\/strong>:<\/strong> Once per semester, per course section. So if you are teaching 4 classes, you fill out 4 testing agreements\u2026at most.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. What if I have different guidelines for each exam or change my mind? For example, Question 1: \u201cExam Conditions\u201d on the Faculty Testing Agreement and there is no way I can tell you what students are\/are not allowed to use on exams as it will change throughout the semester. How can I fill this out then? It doesn’t seem possible!<\/strong>:<\/strong> Just choose \u201cNo additional materials allowed, other than writing implements” on question #1. Additionally, under each question on the Testing Agreement there is a note section – please use it to add additional details that the choices may not include. If you make changes later in the semester you can let us know when the student schedules to take the exam. All student requests will be followed by an email to you that contains an exam upload link. This link contains a note section where you can specify anything you want testing staff to know about proctoring that particular exam.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Questions about Uploading an Exam<\/b><\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. How and when do I provide you my course exams?: <\/strong>When a student in your class requests to have their accommodated testing proctored through us, they submit an exam request,\u00a0 approve it, you will get an exam with the subject line [OSS – EXAM APPROVED] with a link to upload your exam. This secure link is course-specific, and exam-specific and allows you to directly upload all exam to our secure server.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Do you still use osstests@ramapo.edu to receive exams?<\/strong>:<\/strong> No. All exams, including exam passwords, are directly uploaded to our secure server that only select staff may access. Please do not send any exams to <\/span>osstests@ramapo.edu<\/span> unless specifically directed to do so by Alternative Testing staff.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. What if I need to upload multiple files (with individual instructions) for a particular exam?<\/strong>:<\/strong> No problem. After you submit the first file, a message will let you know it was successfully uploaded, and direct you to upload additional files (with individual note sections), if you would like.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Questions about Uploading Exams for the Rest of the Semester<\/b><\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Can I send you all my exams and quizzes in bulk for the rest of the semester?<\/strong>:<\/strong> Not at this time. You are able to upload the exam using the exam upload link you will receive if a student submits an exam request. If you don\u2019t get an e-mail, you don\u2019t need to upload an exam because the student is not requesting for us to proctor their exam.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Questions about Online Exams<\/b><\/h4>\n
          \n
        1. My students mostly take online exams through Moodle or other testing sites. How should I send you the password?<\/strong>:<\/strong> If a student requests to have their online exam proctored through us, they will submit an exam request. Once approved Professors will receive an automatic e-mail with an exam upload link. Please use the exam upload link to upload the password or any other information there.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          General Questions<\/b><\/h4>\n
            \n
          1. I never got an e-mail indicating that my student submitted an exam request. Should I just send it to you anyway?:<\/strong> No. If the student did not submit an exam request, then you do not need to provide us the exam. You should expect the student to take the exam in your class as usual.<\/span><\/li>\n
          2. I just got an e-mail that said [OSS \u2013 EXAM APPROVED] with the student\u2019s exam details and a link to upload the exam\u2026do I need to do anything?<\/strong>:<\/strong> Yes. Please click the link (it is a unique link, specific to this exam and your course), and use it to securely upload the exam. The link will take you to a page where you can add a note for the exam, upload the exam file, and indicate if all students from your course can use this exam.<\/span><\/li>\n
          3. I\u2019ve been getting e-mails from OSSTests@ramapo.edu or LaurelProctors@ramapo.edu \u2013 why?<\/strong>:<\/strong> OSS students are able to use one of the two testing sites on campus \u2013 either C-Wing (<\/span>osstests@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a>) or Laurel Testing Center (<\/span>LaurelProctors@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a>). OSS serves as the oversight for all alternative testing, but each site (which may be Laurel or C-Wing) process their own exams requests and may reach out to you and ask you to upload the exam.
