The generic BSN (pre-licensure) curriculum is designed as a 2 + 2 model. The general education requirements and the nursing pre-requisite courses are all completed in the first two years of the program. The nursing sequence is 4 semesters in length. The curriculum is composed of 64 general education credits (including 24 credits of nursing pre-requisites) and 64 nursing credits. Transfer students may enter the curriculum with all pre-requites being completed prior to entering the sequence.
Transfer students for the generic (pre-licensure) program must have completed : anatomy & physiology I and II, microbiology, chemistry, statistics, general psychology and have at least 64 college credits at the time of transfer. All pre-requisites are to have been taken in the last 5 years.
ATTENTION: Adult and transfer students, without their RN license, looking to become a Nurse and join a Nursing program in NJ or NY, should explore the RN programs at our local community college partners – Bergen Community College, County College of Morris, and Rockland Community College (NY).
