Yes, the program consists of 30 credits and is designed to build upon an undergraduate degree in accounting to meet the 150 credit requirement for New Jersey CPA certification.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Does the MSAC program prepare me to take the CPA exam?<\/div>

Yes, Preparation for the CPA exam is integrated into the curriculum content.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is the M.S. in Accounting Program accredited by AACSB?<\/div>
\n

Yes, the program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB, the internationally recognized sign of excellence in business education.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>How long will it take me to get my MSAC degree?<\/div>
\n

The 30 credit MSAC program can be completed in 1 year attending full time or 2-5 years attending part time (depending on how many courses a student takes each semester). <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can I take courses at my own pace?<\/div>
\n

Students may choose to take classes at their own pace however all 30 credits must be completed within 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do the courses have to be taken in a certain order and at a certain time?<\/div>
\n

No, courses can be taken in any order.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is the program offered in person, online, or in a hybrid format?<\/div>
\n

The MSAC Program is offered as a 100% online program for the fall, spring, summer and winter semesters with some classes offered on-campus during the spring semester for the 4+1 seniors. *Subject to change<\/em><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What are the qualifications to apply to the program?<\/div>
\n

A baccalaureate degree in Accounting or Business from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I need to have an undergraduate degree in accounting to enter the program?<\/div>
\n

A student with a business undergraduate degree in a discipline other than Accounting can take additional undergraduate accounting courses or graduate level transition courses to be able to qualify for this program. Meet with the M.S. in Accounting Program Director, Professor Constance Crawford (ccrawfor@ramapo.edu<\/a>) to discuss requirements based upon your particular situation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, students may apply as a 2nd bachelor’s degree candidate in Accounting, as a transfer student.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can I continue to work full time while earning my MSAC degree?<\/div>

Yes, many students continue to work full time while pursuing their MSAC degree<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?<\/div>
\n

The Program Director of the MSAC Program will review eligible applicants for transfer credits according to the College’s Graduate Program Policies and Procedure:<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuition is approximately $1,008.80 per credit. <\/span>

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Are there payment plans and\/or employer reimbursement cooperation agreements?<\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can graduate students apply for Financial Aid?<\/div>
\n

Yes, Graduate students may borrow up to $20,500 annually under the Federal Direct Stafford Loan programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

To qualify for a Federal Direct Stafford loan, graduate students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per semester.\u00a0 Students enrolled for less than 6 credits may consider an alternative loan.<\/span>
