About the ROTC Program<\/h2>\n

Ramapo College students can participate in either Army or Air Force ROTC programs with partner colleges. ROTC allows student cadets to both attend Ramapo College as a regular student, and train to commission as an Officer in the US Army or Air Force upon graduation. A number of opportunities are available to prospective cadets and you can get started by emailing ROTC@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Roadrunner Company: Army ROTC Crosstown Partner of the Pirate Battalion<\/h2>\n

Ramapo College is a Crosstown Partner of the Pirate Battalion Army ROTC<\/a> program located at Seton Hall University. Ramapo students who join Army ROTC join a community of cadets at both Ramapo and Seton Hall that offers an opportunity to lead, to serve, to learn and to train. To complete the Army ROTC program, students generally need to have at least two years of college left. Through either an Army ROTC Scholarship or a Non-Scholarship benefit, most cadets have their cost of tuition covered and receive a stipend, as well as other benefits:<\/p>\n

Scholarships<\/h3>\n

The Army ROTC scholarship program<\/a> provides financial assistance for the education and training of highly qualified and motivated young men and women who desire to commission as officers in the Army after graduation from college. If you have questions about scholarships, call the Enrollment Officer at (862) 400-7724. We will work with you 1-on-1 as you express interest in the ROTC program.<\/p>\n

Non-Scholarship Benefits<\/h3>\n

Students can participate in ROTC without a scholarship and will receive the ROTC stipend benefits during their junior year once contracted. If a member of the Army Reserve or Army National Guard, these students are required to participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP), which will entitle them to receive additional financial benefits through the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while completing their degree program as an Army ROTC cadet.<\/p>\n

Air Force ROTC: Part of Detachment 490 at NJIT<\/h2>\n

Ramapo students who join Air Force ROTC<\/a> join a community of cadets at NJIT that offers an opportunity to lead, to serve, to learn, and to train. To complete Air Force ROTC, students generally need to have at least three years of college left.
