Shafer<\/strong> (Biology) was recently honored by Valent Biosciences LLC for his years of service as vice president, global R&amp;D and regulatory affairs. The Valent BioSciences Biorational Research Center in Libertyville, Ill. was renamed the Melnik and Shafer Biorational Research Center to honor former President and CEO Ted Melnik and Warren, who now serves as a senior advisor to the company following his retirement.\r\n<br>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em>(As pictured)<\/em><\/span><\/p><h3>1985<\/h3><p><strong>David A. Kimball<\/strong> (Marketing) was named senior vice president of sales for Americas at Tricentis, a software testing and engineering firm based in Austin, TX. David joins Tricentis from Veeam Software, where he served as vice president of the public sector. Before Veeam, he was SVP public sector and SVP Americas at SolarWinds; he also held leadership roles in the private and public sectors for Intellitactics, Trend Micro, Netiq and Remedy.<\/p><h3>1988<\/h3><p><strong>T. S. Murphy<\/strong> (Communication Arts), drama teacher at Teaneck High School, was profiled by New Jersey Stage magazine last January, highlighting his notable work as an educator and his role in the production of the play \u201cDeathtrap\u201d by the Players Guild of Leonia.<\/p><h3>1989<\/h3><p><strong>Linda A. Muroski<\/strong> (Business Administration) has been appointed president of Trelleborg Medical Solutions. She joined Trelleborg in 2016 and most recently served dual roles as president of marketing Americas and president of global healthcare and medical. Over the past 25 years, Linda has worked for Johnson Controls, Engelhard and BASF. She holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.<\/p><h3>1991<\/h3><p><strong>Matthew R. Carcich<\/strong> (Literature) was recently named to the board of directors of the New Jersey Bankers Association. Matt is the chief executive officer of Freedom Bank. He serves on the Anisfield School of Business alumni advisory board.<\/p><h3>1992<\/h3><p><strong>Elizabeth Harz<\/strong> (American and International Studies) was named to Software Report\u2019s 2023 list of \u201cTop 50 Women Leaders of SaaS.\u201d She is chief executive officer of Veriato, a provider of workforce behavior analytics. Previously, Elizabeth was chief executive officer of Sittercity, a digital marketplace that connects families with caregivers. Elizabeth has also held executive sales and marketing roles at Yahoo!, CNET, ZDNet and PC Magazine.<\/p><h3>1993<\/h3><p><strong>Darleen R. Gillespie<\/strong> (Business Administration) was promoted to executive vice president of FirstBank N.J. She previously served as chief retail banking officer. Darleen joined First Bank from Provident Bank where she was senior vice president. She holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Business. She is a member of Middlesex and Princeton Regional Chambers of Commerce.<\/p><h3>1997<\/h3><p><strong>Dino Pagliarello<\/strong> (International Business) joined Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, as vice president of product management and production print. Dino joined Sharp after working for Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA where he was senior vice president of portfolio management and planning. He spent 25 years with Konica Minolta in roles of increasing responsibility. Dino formerly served as a member of the Ramapo College Foundation board of governors, and he remains a member of the Foundation Golf Outing committee.<\/p><h3>1998<\/h3><p><strong>Elizabeth Magennis<\/strong> (Psychology), president of ConnectOne Bank, was recently installed as the second vice chair of the New Jersey Bankers Association.<\/p><p><strong>Roger R. Mussa<\/strong> (International Business) was elected to the board of directors of the Investments and Wealth Institute, a professional association for financial advisors, investment consultants and wealth managers. Roger is senior vice president, wealth management advisor and senior portfolio manager for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.<\/p><h3>2000<\/h3><p><strong>Serenia Farrell<\/strong> (Communication Arts) has been appointed by the Newark board of education as the new principal of the Mount Vernon Elementary School. Serenia is the former vice principal of Louis Spencer Elementary School. She holds a teacher certification from Kean University and earned an M.A. in educational leadership from the College of St. Elizabeth.<\/p><p><strong>Mark McCombs<\/strong> (Social Science) has been promoted to chief of police of the Borough of Franklin Lakes. He had been a captain with the department and has had a 23-year career in law enforcement.<\/p><h3>2003<\/h3><p><strong>Keith Suchodolski<\/strong> (Information Systems) was named a \u201c2024 Leader in Finance\u201d by NJBiz magazine. He is among 40 honorees recognized by the publication for contributing to the success of their companies and their communities and demonstrating leadership in the industry. Keith serves as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Kearny Bank.<\/p><h3>2007<\/h3><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/343\/2024\/08\/MeganBalne_circle-image-300x300.png\" class=\"alignright wp-post-image\" alt=\"Megan R. She is also the chair of the legal\/legislative committee of the Human Resources Association of Southern New Jersey. Megan earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden.\r\n<br>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em>(As pictured)<\/em><\/span><\/p><p><strong>Katelyn Tanis<\/strong> (Sociology) is the new sales director for Lantern Hill, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in New Providence. Before joining Lantern Hill, Kate served as associate director of sales at Cedar Crest, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Pompton Plains. She began her career at Erickson Senior Living as a communication specialist.<\/p><h3>2009<\/h3><p><strong>John V. DeSclafani<\/strong> (Mathematics) was named to the board of directors of the New Jersey Bankers Association. John is senior vice president at Wells Fargo Bank.<\/p><h3>2012<\/h3><p><strong>Robert B. Kress, Jr.<\/strong> (Psychology) joined the law firm of Tanenbaum Keale LLP as an associate in the Newark office where he focuses on product liability and associated litigation. Robert holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Ellen Koblitz in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, Hudson County.<\/p><p><strong>Stefanie D. Patterson<\/strong> (Literature) graduated from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University with an MBA.<\/p><h3>2013<\/h3><p><strong>Rebecca D. Hughes<\/strong> (Sociology) has joined Advocacy &amp; Management Group (AMG), a government relations and association management firm based in Trenton, as vice president.\u00a0 Rebecca joins AMG from the Senate Republican Office, where she was a deputy director of research for Republican Leader Anthony Bucco and the Senate Republican Caucus. She earned a master\u2019s degree in public policy from Monmouth University. Rebecca was elected in 2023 to the Chesterfield Township Committee, where she resides.<\/p><h3>2015<\/h3><p><strong>Donavon T. Falls<\/strong> (Environmental Studies) was selected for the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Fellowship program at Pratt Institute which creates opportunities for climate change scholarship in design and architecture. Donavan is pursuing a master's degree in landscape architecture at Pratt.\u00a0 He was selected for the fellowship based on the strength of his portfolio of work addressing the impacts and challenges of climate change.<\/p><p><strong>Dayton E. Pierce<\/strong> (Business Administration) was recently promoted by Sordoni Construction Co. to the position of project executive. He joined the company in 2019 as a field project manager and subsequently was promoted to project director. Dayton earned a master's degree in civil engineering from NJIT.<\/p><p><strong>Kristina N. Tiralosi<\/strong> (Computer Science) was among four women recently honored by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) with a 2024 Women of Achievement award. Kristina was the recipient of the Elinor J. Ferdon Young Woman of Promise Award. She is a senior development operations software engineer at Crestron Electronics. Kristina earned a Girl Scout Gold Award for chartering the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) organization at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan when she was a student. She returns to the school each year to mentor students and present an award to a graduating senior who has participated in the club.<\/p><h3>2016<\/h3><p><strong>Stephen A. Dello Stritto<\/strong> (Biology), who serves as an assistant clinical professor at SUNY College of Optometry, received the 2023 AAO Hopkins Comprehensive Eye Care Residency Award for his commitment to excellence in the graduate program.<\/p><h3>2017<\/h3><p><strong>Karlito Almeda<\/strong> (History) joined The Zita Group LLC, a government and public affairs consulting and advocacy firm, as vice president. Karlito was previously a senior policy principal with Advanced Energy United, and he served as a policy aide to the N.J. Board of Public Utilities as well as legislative director to then-Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg. She earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.<\/p><h3>2020<\/h3><p><strong>Liliann Stoll<\/strong> (Biology) is now an associate attorney with the Washington D.C. office of the law firm of Hall Render. Liliann focuses her practice in the areas of reimbursement and payment practices as well as general hospital operations and compliance. She earned a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School. She is a member of the American Health Law Association and the Military Spouse J.D. Network.<\/p><h3>2024<\/h3><p><strong>Yanni Leakas<\/strong> (Finance) has joined the Dak Group as an analyst. Dak Group is a boutique investment banking firm located in Rochelle Park. She is also the chair of the legal\/legislative committee of the Human Resources Association of Southern New Jersey. Before joining Lantern Hill, Kate served as associate director of sales at Cedar Crest, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Pompton Plains. She began her career at Erickson Senior Living as a communication specialist.<\/p><h3>2009<\/h3><p><strong>John V. DeSclafani<\/strong> (Mathematics) was named to the board of directors of the New Jersey Bankers Association. John is senior vice president at Wells Fargo Bank.<\/p><h3>2012<\/h3><p><strong>Robert B. Kress, Jr.<\/strong> (Psychology) joined the law firm of Tanenbaum Keale LLP as an associate in the Newark office where he focuses on product liability and associated litigation. Robert holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Ellen Koblitz in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, Hudson County.<\/p><p><strong>Stefanie D. Patterson<\/strong> (Literature) graduated from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University with an MBA.<\/p><h3>2013<\/h3><p><strong>Rebecca D. Hughes<\/strong> (Sociology) has joined Advocacy &amp; Management Group (AMG), a government relations and association management firm based in Trenton, as vice president.\u00a0 Rebecca joins AMG from the Senate Republican Office, where she was a deputy director of research for Republican Leader Anthony Bucco and the Senate Republican Caucus. She earned a master\u2019s degree in public policy from Monmouth University. Rebecca was elected in 2023 to the Chesterfield Township Committee, where she resides.<\/p><h3>2015<\/h3><p><strong>Donavon T. Falls<\/strong> (Environmental Studies) was selected for the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Fellowship program at Pratt Institute which creates opportunities for climate change scholarship in design and architecture. Donavan is pursuing a master's degree in landscape architecture at Pratt.\u00a0 He was selected for the fellowship based on the strength of his portfolio of work addressing the impacts and challenges of climate change.<\/p><p><strong>Dayton E. Pierce<\/strong> (Business Administration) was recently promoted by Sordoni Construction Co. to the position of project executive. He joined the company in 2019 as a field project manager and subsequently was promoted to project director. Dayton earned a master's degree in civil engineering from NJIT.<\/p><p><strong>Kristina N. Tiralosi<\/strong> (Computer Science) was among four women recently honored by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) with a 2024 Women of Achievement award. Kristina was the recipient of the Elinor J. Ferdon Young Woman of Promise Award. She is a senior development operations software engineer at Crestron Electronics. Kristina earned a Girl Scout Gold Award for chartering the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) organization at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan when she was a student. She returns to the school each year to mentor students and present an award to a graduating senior who has participated in the club.<\/p><h3>2016<\/h3><p><strong>Stephen A. Dello Stritto<\/strong> (Biology), who serves as an assistant clinical professor at SUNY College of Optometry, received the 2023 AAO Hopkins Comprehensive Eye Care Residency Award for his commitment to excellence in the graduate program.<\/p><h3>2017<\/h3><p><strong>Karlito Almeda<\/strong> (History) joined The Zita Group LLC, a government and public affairs consulting and advocacy firm, as vice president. Karlito was previously a senior policy principal with Advanced Energy United, and he served as a policy aide to the N.J. Board of Public Utilities as well as legislative director to then-Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg. Before joining the firm, Sabrina served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Joseph G. Monaghan, Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County. She earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.<\/p><h3>2020<\/h3><p><strong>Liliann Stoll<\/strong> (Biology) is now an associate attorney with the Washington D.C. office of the law firm of Hall Render. Liliann focuses her practice in the areas of reimbursement and payment practices as well as general hospital operations and compliance. She earned a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School. She is a member of the American Health Law Association and the Military Spouse J.D. Network.<\/p><h3>2024<\/h3><p><strong>Yanni Leakas<\/strong> (Finance) has joined the Dak Group as an analyst.
