Welcome to the Ramapo College Living-Learning Community (LLC) – the residential experience for undeclared first-year students. The LLC is a unique living and learning environment designed to provide links with several courses as well as enhance the learning experience by providing peer facilitators to work in small groups with you and your fellow students. It is a great way to study and live with a small group of students who are all taking some similar courses.
Students who participate in the LLC will engage in an academic and residential community with other students who have similar academic, cultural and social interests. Enhancing learning experiences and community engagement in the first year, students will develop ongoing and lasting relationships with classmates, faculty and staff. The LLC is an opportunity for students to explore different majors and connect majors to career choices. Peer facilitators designed to draw links to the common courses will work with students individually to provide a seamless transition to the first-year experience.
Did you have a favorite teacher in high school? Since college can feel much larger than high school, making connections with professors can take more time. Take advantage of the LLC and the linked courses, peer facilitators, and co-curricular activities to develop collegial relationships with Ramapo faculty. The LLC opportunities may provide you with an introduction to your favorite Ramapo professor or mentor and enhance your first-year learning experience in college.
LLC students will live in Mackin Hall where they will be able to take advantage of contemporary student living. Mackin Hall provides air conditioning, high-speed internet, cable television with premium movie channels, complimentary laundry facilities, smoke-free environment, 24-hour public safety, and New York Times, Bergen Record and/or Star Ledger delivered to your lobby Monday-Friday (weekend editions are available at meal plan). If you have any questions, email email@example.com.
