Teens have many stressors—school, family, friends. Begin to learn tools to handle stress in a more positive way, to concentrate and focus in school, to deal with your emotions, and to practice kindness for yourself and others. Parenting a teen can be stressful as well. Give yourself time to relax and find a calmer place to parent from, learning how to respond instead of react to your teen.
This workshop is an opportunity to pause in the middle of your hectic lives and embrace the present moment. Participants will learn simple and practical mindfulness activities that can be practiced anywhere and at any time. We will alternate between sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating and mindful movement.
