9-DAY PROFESSIONAL INTENSIVE MINDFULNESS-BASED STRESS REDUCTION TEACHER TRAINING

Participants of 5-Day Mindfulness Tools program at the Krame Center

The first step to becoming an MBSR Instructor (after taking the MBSR course)
Friday, January 10 – Sunday, January 19
Trustees Pavilion, Ramapo College of New Jersey

MBSR Fundamentals Information

You can complete 3 of the steps on the pathway to becoming an MBSR instructor at the Krame Center.  We offer the 8-Week MBSR, 9-Day Foundations Teacher Training and 5-Day Silent Retreat.

The residential format for the MBSR Foundations training combines the five-day “Framework for Living Mindfully” , with a four-day seminar for those interested in becoming teachers. Through a trainee’s own direct experience of the five-day “Framework for Living Mindfully” program, the personal and multi-faceted nature of the MBSR program is revealed. This personal experience directly fosters the early learning of the participant-trainee.  See the Center for Mindfulness at Brown University website for details on the teachers’ path https://www.brown.edu/public-health/mindfulness/programs/mbsr-teacher-education-development-and-certification

Retreat Information

This retreat consists of the 5-Day Mindfulness Tools Residential Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Intensive program and the 4-Day Fundamentals Teacher Training Intensive.

SR-401-9D MBSR Fundamentals – 9 Day MBSR Fundamentals is an intensive residential training based on the 8-week MBSR curriculum. For the first 5 days, students are immersed in the Mindfulness Tools Program™, a synthesized format of the 8-week MBSR course that includes intensive meditation, small and large group dialogue and interaction, and teacher instruction. In the 4 days immediately following Mindfulness Tools Program™, students participate in an intensive, highly experiential professional training to facilitate further integration of the Mindfulness Tools Program™ through instruction, investigation and dialogue with teachers and other Fundamentals participants. This intensive is to study the curriculum, program flow, and contextual and theoretical background of MBSR. A small cohort explores issues arising out of the MBSR learning and teaching experience.

When you register for the 9-Day Teacher Training Course, you will automatically be registered for the 5-Day MBSR course Both courses must be completed at the same time.
