Leadership Model – NEW
Ramapo College of New Jersey has approved a new Leadership Competencies Model to develop highly effective leaders. This model will be used for our leader’s personal and professional growth.
The Leadership Philosophy:
“We are leading ourselves so we can better lead others and together we are leading our process”
The Leadership Model will focus on three themes:
- Leading Ourselves (Self-Awareness)
- Leading Others (Collaboration with Others)
- Leading the Process (Business Acumen)
The model will start with a competencies review for all managers (and any other employee in a leadership role who would like a review performed). The review will be in the form of a Competencies Score Card review and this assessment will replace the APAS model for Managers. Rotating on a three year basis, this will be supplemented by a 360 review from subordinates and peers to be used for an individuals professional growth plan. The assessment will be performed twice during the 2018/2019 rating cycle, September 28 (initial rating) and March 29 (final rating)
