Beyond Unity – Bridging Gaps in Polarized Times. <\/strong>We live in polarizing times, which can strain our relationships, institutions, and communities. The upcoming midterm elections promise to exacerbate this problem further, even as experts debate root causes. Rather than pine for (mostly imagined) days of unity and civility, we will discuss strategies for productive outreach and communication, based in empathy, mutual benefit, and a commitment to learned understanding.<\/p>\n

\"Ridgewood<\/a>Paths to Understanding is our semesterly collaboration with Ridgewood Public Library. <\/strong>We come together to discuss our shared society, the challenges we face, and strategies for navigating polarizing times.<\/span><\/p>\n
