Virtual Tour

This recommended four-year plan is designed to provide a blueprint for students to complete their degrees within four years. These plans are the recommended sequences of courses. Students must meet with their Major Advisor to develop a more individualized plan to complete their degree. This plan assumes that no developmental courses are required. If developmental courses are needed, students may have additional requirements to fulfill which are not listed in the plan and degree completion may take longer.

NOTE: This recommended Four-Year Plan is applicable to students admitted into the major during the 2013-2014 academic year.

  • MATH 432 - ABSTRACT ALGEBRA (HRS 4) WI
  • MATH Elective numbered above 237 (HRS 4)
  • Elective (HRS 4)
  • GenEd: GE-TOPICS ARTS AND HUMANITIES CATEGORY or GE-TOPICS SOCIAL SCIENCE CATEGORY (HRS 4)1. I noticed that the star symbol * is missing in Fall 2013 from the Precalculus course in the teacher ed track. Please insert it. It stands for the not being required, as explained on the bottom of the page on the web. >

    > 2. I am not sure why Physics 114 is listed as a gen ed course in teacher ed track plans with a “colon” and as an option to a gen ed course with a “slash” in the traditional track. On the other hand, the words gen ed do not appear next to Computer Science I, which falls into the same category as Physics 114 for math majors. Namely, Physics 115 and Computer Science I are required for the math major but are not math courses. To keep in uniform between the two tracks, I changed the slash to a colon. But maybe the words Gen Ed preceding the course Physics 114 should be deleted in all 4 files I’m attaching below? Or maybe, according to some classifications both of these courses do count as gen ed by not being “MATH” labeled courses?
