Education after high school costs time, money, and effort. It\u2019s a big investment, but well worth it. At Ramapo College of New Jersey, we help students manage their costs through a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds.<\/p>\n

About 67 percent of Ramapo\u2019s students receive more than $40 million in aid. This aid includes grants \u2013 funds which the students are awarded but don\u2019t have to pay back \u2013 and loans, which must be repaid. Students also can receive a work-study job to earn money to help pay for school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Office of Financial Aid is now scheduling appointments for students who need to conduct business in person.\u00a0 Appointments can be made through email at\u00a0finaid@ramapo.edu<\/a> or through our chat located on our website. In person appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. However, we are confident that most questions can be handled without in-person visits via a phone call, a Webex meeting or email.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you or your family are experiencing financial hardships or family circumstances have changed please email or call the Office of Financial Aid so we can discuss your situation and the possibility of a re-evaluation of your financial aid award.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Please be aware, students must now Accept or Decline Federal Direct Loans through the Ramapo College Self-Service.\u00a0 Your loan will not appear on your bill until you do so.\u00a0 Please follow these instructions:<\/p>\n

Log into\u00a0Ramapo College Self-Service<\/a>\u00a0with your Ramapo Email username and password<\/p>\n

    The Award Overview tab is a summary of your financial aid package.\u00a0 The Terms and Conditions tab provides you with important information about your awards.\u00a0 The \u201cAccept Award Offer<\/strong>\u201d tab is where you must choose to accept or decline your loans.<\/p>\n

    If you accept your federal loans, please go to www.studentaid.gov<\/a> and complete an entrance counseling session and a master promissory note.<\/p>\n

    NJ Residents\u00a0<\/strong>make sure that you complete the required additional state questions no later than September 15.<\/p>\n

    To provide this information online, you must create a login to\u00a0HESAA\u2019s NEW student information system, NJFAMS<\/strong>\u00a0to do this:<\/p>\n

    1. Go to\u00a0https:\/\/njfams.hesaa.org<\/a>.\u00a0 If you do not yet have a user name and password to NJFAMS, you will be able to create one.<\/li>\n
    2. Click the\u00a0\u201ccreate a student login\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0link to create your user name and password to the\u00a0NEW<\/strong>\u00a0system.<\/li>\n
    3. Once logged into NJFAMS you can view any outstanding tasks that require your attention to complete your record.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
