Welcome to the Department of Facilities Management
Known for its natural beauty the Ramapo College of New Jersey campus totals more than 300 acres and includes nearly 2 million in building square footage. As stewards of the College we approach our tasks with great care and are dedicated to providing the utmost quality of service to the College community.
Our department consists of 86 dedicated professionals including managers, administrators, building maintenance workers, HVAC technicians, landscapers, grounds workers, locksmiths, painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, auto mechanics, storekeepers, mail clerks and a student-operated recycling and composting team all committed to maintaining the operations of the department at a high level of performance. Our workforce is exceedingly diverse and that diversity adds value to our common goal of excellence.
Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable and very functional environment in support of the teaching, learning and community-based activities at Ramapo College. Our goals include quality customer service, respectful maintenance of the value of our physical plant assets, adherence to established budgets and to promote sustainability leadership.
Training is paramount to our success and as such our staff is trained annually on applicable environmental, health and safety regulations and safe work procedures. We also invest in instruction that ensures each of our staff keep abreast of changes relating to their individual function as well as the requisite federal and state compliance trainings.
The aim of the Facilities Management Website is to introduce our staff and related services performed for the campus community and visitors to Ramapo College of New Jersey.
