Faculty, including library faculty and all full-time employees contractually obligated to teach are FA members as defined by our bylaws.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Meeting minutes taken by FA Secretary Matthew Jobrack.<\/p>\n<p><b>Agenda:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Approval of Minutes (4\/30\/2025)<\/p>\n<p>Introduction of new faculty members by the Deans.<\/p>\n<p><b>Reports:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Faculty Assembly President&#8217;s Report<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/fa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/60\/2025\/09\/FAPres-9-3-25.pdf\">(slides)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>College President&#8217;s Report:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remembrance of Ramapo student Nick Danbrowney<\/li>\n<li>Good news on state funding, including deferred maintenance funds<\/li>\n<li>NJASCU retreat over the summer, President Jebb met with state legislators and each gubernatorial candidate<\/li>\n<li>Ramapo has a student interview for a Rhodes scholarship<\/li>\n<li>Student retention is up by 5% compared to last year<\/li>\n<li>Launching a campaign feasibility study<\/li>\n<li>Reiteration of priorities for this year:\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of CAP<\/li>\n<li>Artificial Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Student well-being<\/li>\n<li>Talent management and strategic partnerships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Introduction of Dr. Robert Heinrich (Stockton), who is shadowing President Jebb this academic year as part of the ACE Fellowship program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Provost&#8217;s Report:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mike Unger is joining the Provost\u2019s Office full-time for two years as Acting Assistant Provost for Assessment and Accreditation.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty should prepare for change this coming AY. Conclusions and recommendations of CAP-related task forces will guide changes moving forward<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Announcements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Enrollment Update<\/b><br \/>\n        Chris Romano, VP for Strategic Enrollment, Outreach and Engagement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discussion of headwinds facing enrollment. Noted that files are not yet frozen, and so today&#8217;s numbers are approximate.<\/li>\n<li>Up 11% in applications (9900 apps) for Fall 2025<\/li>\n<li>New class enrollment is 1108, although de-registration has yet to occur (likely causing this number to drop a bit).<\/li>\n<li>5% increase in enrollment (headcount) compared to last year, which means that retention is trending upwards<\/li>\n<li>135 incoming EOF students (almost double compared to two years ago, and largest class ever like last year)<\/li>\n<li>47% of incoming class are first generation students<\/li>\n<li>Final report will be shared on October 15 when files are frozen<\/li>\n<li>Ramapo is on track to exceed enrollment percentages to qualify as an HSI (will be confirmed after frozen file).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>CourseDog and College Catalog<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/fa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/60\/2025\/09\/CourseDog-Presentation-for-FA-Sep-2025.pptx.pdf\">(slides)<\/a><br \/>\n        Vanessa Arriola, Assistant Provost for Administration, Budget and Planning<br \/>\n        Jeneen Kelly, Registrar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Presentations\/Discussion Items:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Gen Ed Revision Progress Report<\/b><br \/>\n        Chris Reali, GECCo Chair<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GECCo members met in June to create a framework for what a new Gen Ed program could look like, generated 6 possible models<\/li>\n<li>Planning Faculty Forum or Town Hall to collect feedback<\/li>\n<li>Report on current Gen Ed experience for students<\/li>\n<li>GECCo is not taking any new course submissions this year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Formal meeting adjourned at 2:00 pm.
