Present:<\/b> Naseem Choudhury <\/b>(President, SSHS), <\/span>Katie Cohen <\/b>(Library), <\/span>Donna Flynn<\/b> (Councilor-at-Large under 11, TAS), <\/span>Ken McMurdy<\/b> (TAS), <\/span>Lisa Lutter<\/b>,<\/span> (CA), <\/span>Thierry Rakotobe-Joel<\/b> (ASB), <\/span>Mihaela Serban<\/b> (SSHS), <\/span>Ed Shannon<\/b> (Vice President, HGS), <\/span>Jeffrey Ellsworth<\/b> (Secretary)<\/span><\/p>\n Vote to bring meeting to order at<\/span> 10:10am.<\/span><\/p>\n Minutes Approval:<\/b> The 1\/26\/22 <\/span>minutes were approved.<\/span><\/p>\n FA President\u2019s Report:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Report from Provost\u2019s Council: Discussion of the many policies currently under reconsideration and revision. Faculty need to stay current on these possible policy changes. Policy matters include topics such as course caps and course delivery models.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Meeting with College President: Discussion regarding meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n Board of Trustees\u2019 Meeting (1\/31\/2022): Discussion regarding meeting. A number of appointments, reappointments, and emeritus statuses were approved.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n General Order<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Issues from units:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n -Discussion of transportation problems that have arisen because of decreased shuttle availability for individuals commuting between NYC and campus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n -Padavano Commons: Discussion that Padavano Commons is no longer designated for faculty, despite it having been the only faculty reserved space. President Jebb assures that the change is temporary and as the pandemic situation evolves it will return to faculty use.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n -Library, Change in Eating\/Drinking policy and Communication: Discussion of the change that was made to the library policy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n -Campus Master Plan Process nominee: There need to be two nominations. Lisa Lutter has volunteered to be one nominee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n -Presidential Inauguration Committee (from FAEC): Katie Cohen has been put forward as the FAEC representative for the committee.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n President Jebb<\/strong>:<\/strong> Reiterated the vision of the college and our shared commitment to facilitating our students thriving, especially through the ongoing challenges of the pandemic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Discussion of the budget and state initiatives, such as the Garden State Guarantee.
