Currently, SSHS conveners received data about course and delivery mode percentage preferences for seniors in the early days of registration for Fall 2021. We agreed FAEC should routinely receive the same enrollment updates given to Conveners and Deans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Provost Meeting: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Naseem will meet on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Transition Team\/Planning:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Finances:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Stephen Larsen\u2019s report shed new light on the financial health of the College; we did not lose money this year and there is a good chance for the same for the next academic year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Faculty Assembly 5\/24 at 2pm with Dr. Jebb:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>FA with Dr. Jebb: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The agenda is being organized.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Introduction to Faculty Assembly:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We will discuss the governance structure, shared governance, the task force findings and recommendations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Faculty Priorities: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FA will provide Dr. Jebb with 2<\/span><b>&#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 priorities faculty feel the President might focus on when we meet.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Solicit <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Jebb\u2019s priorities and vision.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Types of Programs: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Share how faculty feels about professional, graduate, and liberal arts programs at Ramapo College.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Google doc: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Google doc has been set up for suggestions provided to FAEC to identify faculty priorities to discuss with Dr. Jebb.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Liberal Arts College: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We should highlight our commitment to the mission of our college.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>General Education:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Discuss the strengths of this program.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Breakout Meetings with Dr. Jebb: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Under 10 year faculty, senior faculty and other groups representing constituencies across the college might be beneficial as time permits. If not possible here then we will create these as separate special sessions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">o\u00a0 <\/span><b>\u00a0Faculty Considerations:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Where would we like to be in 5 years?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">o \u00a0 <\/span><b>Collaboration between schools: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We used to do this more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Teaching: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How do we better address learning the needs of students during these difficult times?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Forthcoming Surveys:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Transition team<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leadership: Beginning of May. (FAEC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00b7Faculty Assembly for President\u2019s visit. (FAEC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Faculty Assembly Bylaw Survey will be sent in April. (FAEC)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Year\u2019s Goals:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Approve FA Bylaws<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet with Dr. Jebb<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Faculty Forum: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next and last Faculty Forum for the academic year will be held on 4\/28\/21.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Financial Information: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This academic year we have been able to receive more financial information about the College. For example, Professor Stephen Larsen has provided information about the Budget Report and Professor Yongbum Kim has similarly shared important details from the BoT Audit Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Faculty Service:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> There is some <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">concern<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> about a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">perceived hestiance of some<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Faculty to fulfill their sevice obligation by serving on committees and engaging in voting. is less inclined to volunteer. The Faculty Handbook can will help by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">specifying how service is measured and counted<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Who serves? How is service acknowledged or recognized? What is the incentive for faculty?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Instructional Design Center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Lysandra Perez-Strumolo has offered words of appreciation to Dr. Michael Bitz and all those also involved in seeing us through the pandemic. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>ARC Courses in The Approval Process:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> These are not being listed by the Registrar as they are new courses requiring ARC approval.
