Support For Victims \/ Survivors<\/h3>\n

Support is always available for survivors of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.
\nIf you or someone you know is a survivor it\u2019s important to know there are many options for crisis response, support, medical treatment, advocacy, and reporting. Confidential resources allow you to explore your options without making a report to the College. Confidential, survivor-centered help is always available.<\/p>\n

YWCA Healing Space<\/h4>\n

HealingSPACE provides confidential information, support, and victim services. They have trained advocates that provide counseling and medical and legal accompaniments to survivors. HealingSPACE also offers support groups, volunteer training, and educational programs for schools and businesses, as well as sponsors activities to raise community awareness about sexual violence.<\/p>\n

Alternatives to Domestic Violence<\/h4>\n

Bergen County’s Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) provides critical non-residential support services to Bergen County residents impacted by domestic violence in their relationships, including prevention education, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, trauma-informed counseling programs, and coordinated community responses to violence.<\/p>\n

Partners for Women and Justice<\/h4>\n

Partners empowers low-income victims and survivors of domestic violence to build safe and secure futures for themselves and their children by providing equal access to justice. We offer quality legal assistance in domestic violence and family law matters.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2004 to address domestic violence issues in the Muslim community, Wafa House has evolved from crisis referral and intervention to now providing a wide array of holistic recovery services for survivors in need.<\/p>\n

NJ Coalition Against Sexual Assault<\/h4>\n

The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) is the statewide advocacy and capacity-building organization that represents New Jersey\u2019s 21 county-based sexual violence programs and the Rutgers University \u2013 New Brunswick Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance. In addition to our county-based programs, we also have in our membership a cohort of eight culturally specific programs. Culturally specific services are created by and for specific cultural communities and provide support with an emphasis on the experiences and needs of survivors in such communities and with recognition of the cultural complexities and layered identities of every individual<\/p>\n

RAINN: Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network<\/h4>\n

The nation\u2019s largest anti-sexual violence organization and operator of the National Sexual Assault Hotline, RAINN\u2019s mission is to stop sexual violence by supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and creating safer communities.<\/p>\n
