Tal Yonai, Ph.D.

Dr. Tal Yonai holds (Pronouns: he/him/his) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Relevant Experience

Dr. Yonai has worked as Associate Director of Counseling Services at Ramapo College since 2014. Prior to joining CHCS, he worked as a Staff Psychologist at William Paterson University’s Counseling, Health and Wellness Center. He completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Stony Brook University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).

Professional Interests

Supervision and training; the treatment of trauma, loss and bereavement; issues of culture and diversity, particularly in traditionally underserved populations; developmental issues of early adulthood; creativity and development in artists and musicians; and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Personal Interests

Dr. Yonai is extremely passionate about music, particularly jazz, blues and rock. In his free time, he also enjoys playing the drums and guitar.
