Ramapo College committees and associations operate to fulfill their goals and objectives and to support the mission of the College.<\/p>\n

The College’s Diversity Action Committee (DAC)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is charged with exploring three general topics related to diversity and equity in 2004. The DAC vision states, “in promoting and celebrating diversity, Ramapo College pledges to respect and value personal uniqueness and differences, to seek to attract diverse faculty, staff and students that reflect the changing demographics in the region and beyond, to seek and acknowledge common ground, to challenge stereotyping, and to promote sensitivity and including.”<\/p>\n

Middle States Steering Committee<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is currently engaged in the Colleges re-accreditation application process.\u00a0 The Self Study Steering Committee, comprised of faculty, staff and students, has been at work since February 2008 developing the self study design draft, which will provide the framework for the self study.\u00a0 Once this design is approved by the Middles States Association the study groups can begin the formal self study, expected to commence in early September, 2008 and end in March 2009.\u00a0 This is a process that is expected to engage the entire college community, with the goal of achieving a thorough and useful assessment of effectiveness and efficiency.The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is the unit of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools that accredits degree-granting colleges and universities in the Middle States region, which includes Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and several locations internationally.<\/p>\n

Ramapo Staff Association<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of Ramapo College of\u00a0 New Jersey represents College professional staff and managers, aligned or unaligned. The Association holds monthly meetings and periodic professional development workshops.<\/p>\n

The Teaching, Learning, and Technology Roundtable (TLTR)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a campus-wide round table with representatives from administration, faculty, professional, and technology support staff. Their mission is to seek “to motivate and enable” the campus community to “improve teaching and learning with technology, white helping them to cope with continual change.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
