Final exams may only be given during the final examination period, which falls on the final week of the term.<\/p>\n
Procedure for the Administration of Final Exams<\/strong><\/p>\n The final exam schedule will be posted one week prior to the first day of the semester or term.<\/p>\n All classes must meet during Final Exam Week. These minutes are counted as part of the federally-mandated meeting time per credit hour awarded.<\/p>\n Classes must meet during the assigned meeting time within the final exam schedule. Individual faculty may not change the assigned class meeting time during the final exam schedule.<\/p>\n Students are not expected to take more than two exams\/other culminating assessments on any one day during the final exam period. Should students be scheduled for more than two exams\/other culminating assessments in one day, they must take the earliest and latest exams\/culminating assessments on the assigned day and at the assigned time on the final exam schedule. However, the student may request that the middle exam(s)\/culminating assessment(s) be rescheduled to another day during the final exam period. Faculty must accommodate students who have made this request by the end of the drop\/add period (as published on the Academic Calendar) for Fall and Spring semesters or by the end of the third class meeting scheduled during the winter and summer terms.<\/p>\n While no regular season games involving Ramapo College student athletes are scheduled during\u00a0the final exam week, post-season playoff games, which are set outside the control of the College\u00a0by the local conference (NJAC, NCAA, etc.) may occur during this period. When a post-season\u00a0game conflicts with a scheduled final exam\/other culminating assessment, the student athlete must make arrangements with the instructor to reschedule the final exam\/culminating assessment, as soon as the athletic contest schedule is known. (Note: Local conferences typically notify the College 24 to 48 hours in advance of the scheduled game.) Instructors are expected to accommodate such requests. When any issue arises, the Faculty Athletic Representative can serve as the intermediary and will be available to assist in making alternative arrangements (e.g., finding a proctor), if needed.<\/p>\n
