The 33\/34-credit degree focuses on the preparation of nurses to work as nursing faculty in higher education or as nurse educators in health agencies.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a post-master\u2019s program is offered, designed for those nurses holding a master\u2019s degree in nursing who are interested in pursuing nursing education.<\/p>\n<p>The Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) 3343 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326<\/p>\n<p>Criteria for admission to the degree program include graduation from an approved nursing bachelor degree program or completion of the Transition Program for applicants with non-nursing baccalaureate degrees, an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) for all nursing courses and full-time experience as a practicing registered professional nurse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Outcomes for the Nursing Education Program<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p><strong>Outcome 1: Knowledge<\/strong> &#8211; Draws on extant literature and knowledge to design and implement evidence based
