Memo and Jacqueline Acevedo, father and daughter, are two remarkably talented, in d-demand, and very friendly percussionist in the New York Latin music and Latin jazz scenes. As a Colombian musician who has lived in Mexico, Spain, Canada, and the U.S., Memo plays and teaches a wide range of Latin music traditions. perhaps because of his eclecticism, he is able to explain and demonstrate distinguishing characteristics of each tradition as well as fuse them with artistic innovation.
