DESCRIPTION:The Classics IV\, one of the most popular and influential pop groups of the 60s and 70s\, achieved phenomenal success with hits “Spooky\,” “Stormy\,” “Traces\,” and “Everyday With You Girl”\, all of which sold well over a million copies and were awarded gold and platinum discs by the Recording Industry of America. \nBy the 1970s The Classics IV accumulated a total of 16 Billboard chart hits\, solidifying them as a hit-making pop group and crediting The Classics IV with the development of “Southern Soft Rock.”  \n \nAdults: $50/45\, Children Under 17\, $20\, RCNJ Faculty/Staff: $40*\, RCNJ Students: $8*\, Retired Employees of Ramapo College: $40* \nPurchase Tickets \nNOTE: Everyone entering the auditorium must have a ticket\, including infants and young children. Strollers are not permitted in the theaters. Due to fire code capacity limits\, no lap seating of any kind is allowed. \n*Ticket limits apply. SUMMARY:Tristan Perich's Loud Objects Performance
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, December 11\, 2024 at 7pm\, Adler Theater at Berrie Center \nTristan Perich’s work is inspired by the aesthetic simplicity of math\, physics and code. The WIRE Magazine describes his compositions as “an austere meeting of electronic and organic.” His 2004 release\, 1-Bit Music\, was the first album ever released as a microchip\, programmed to synthesize his electronic composition live. His group Loud Objects makes electronic music visible\, soldering sound circuits from scratch on stage while an antique overhead projector displays their actions to the audience. \nFree and open to the public.
