DESCRIPTION:For over a decade the Sirius Quartet has championed innovative music. Pushing beyond the classical repertoire\, these four improvisers and composers explore the grey area between contemporary classical\, jazz\, avant-garde\, rock\, metal\, and world music\, melting it all together and challenging conventional ideas of what a string quartet is capable of. As freelance/session musicians in the NYC area\, members of the quartet have also performed alongside Lady Gaga\, Sting\, Metallica\, Peter Gabriel\, Elton John\, Quincy Jones\, Mary J.
