Commuter students should check-in to receive their student ID.  Once checked-in students can explore campus before New Student Assembly.

New Student Assembly: 3:45pm-4:15pm
Location: Friends Hall, SC 219
New Students and families receive an official welcome to Ramapo, including remarks from Dr. Cindy Jebb, President of Ramapo College, Christopher Romano, Vice President of Strategic Enrollment, Outreach and Engagement, Tracey Bender, Senior Assistant Director of Student Success and Testing, and Shannon DeCicco, Student Government Association President. The Alma Mater is being sung by Ayden Mossmann ’24.

Arching Ceremony: 4:15pm-4:30pm
Location: Arch
Join us for this Ramapo College tradition as students process through the Arch and are greeted by President Jebb.  On the eve of graduation, students will process down through the Arch signifying the completion of their undergraduate experience.

This event happens snow, rain or shine please be prepared.  Guests are allowed to view the ceremony by lining the sides of Mansion Road.  Please note during the ceremony no guests are permitted in the courtyard by the arch.

New Student and Family Reception: 4:30pm-5:15pm

Immediately following the Arching Ceremony, new students and families are welcome to join us for a nice warm beverage to warm up after being outside.  Light refreshments will be served.

Open Mic Night: 9:00pm
Location: Padovano Commons

Transfer Student Clothing Swap: 12:00pm-1:00pm
Location: Fishbowl, C Wing 2nd Floor
The Dean of Students, Melissa Van Der Wall, is hosting a clothing swap for transfer students.  Here is a way to update your wardrobe and acquire new items as a Ramapo Roadrunner.  Bring 1 or 2 items from your previous college and swap them for Ramapo gear.  All of the clothing received will be donated.  This event is free, open to Spring 2024 transfer students.
