Students having outside coverage can deduct the amount of the health insurance from their bill, providing the online Health Insurance Waiver Form is completed no later than the waiver deadline. When the form is submitted, a credit will be posted to the student's account. If a waiver is submitted in the fall, a student does not have to resubmit a waiver in the spring.Spring waivers are only for students who were not registered in the fall.
All full-time registered students who have not submitted a waiver by the published waiver deadline will be enrolled in the group health insurance plan and responsible for payment of the premium charged to the student's account. ELECTRONIC STUDENT REFUNDS
When your financial aid is disbursed, you may be entitled to a refund. The College recommends that you sign up for our free electronic refund service. The funds will be quickly and safely deposited into your checking or savings account. In addition, you will receive an e-mail when the refund is processed. TUITION PAYMENT PLAN
The Ramapo Tuition Payment Plan (RTPP) is managed in-house by the Bursar’s Office. Students and their authorized users may choose to budget their term bill in four installments. Click here for details.
Spring 2009 RTPP Start November 3rd
The four monthly installment payments will be due on the following dates:
December 1st; January 1st; February 1st; March 1st
Important Note: If you joined the plan for the fall term, you must re-join for the spring and pay the $60 application fee. Your fall bill must be paid-in-full before enrolling in the spring plan.
ELECTRONIC BILLS (ebill)
The ebill allows students and their authorized users to view their most recent billing statement, billing history, current account activity, and the current account balance. Click here for details.
WEB PAYMENT
The Web payment function is available when the Web registration function is unavailable, except when all systems are down. Be sure to pay by the published deadline to avoid deregistration and dehousing.
FINANCE CHARGE
This is a supplemental charge that will be assessed against the account of any student with an outstanding Account Balance. This Finance Charge shall be calculated and assessed for each month that the balance remains $100.00 or greater. There will be a grace period of 25 days without finance charge on new charges. Each monthly Finance Charge will be calculated by multiplying 1.5% by the amount of the outstanding Account Balance. Finance Charges will not be assessed for students who participate in the Ramapo Tuition Payment Plan and have kept their account current. If a student has been terminated from the plan, he/she will be assessed a Finance Charge commencing with the next billing cycle.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FEE
The College has instituted a Capital Improvement Fee starting with Fall 2009 term. The Capital Improvement Fee supports the construction, renovation and maintenance of major capital projects on the College campus.
1098-T FORM
The College is required to furnish a 1098-T Form to all students who incur qualified tuition and related expenses during the 2009 tax year. This information alerts students and/or those that claim students, that they may be eligible for the Hope Scholarship or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit.
Starting in January 2010, the Bursar's Office, in an effort to "Go-Green", will be reducing the printing and mailing of 1098-T tax returns. On or before January 31, 2010, you can access your 1098-T Form online through Ramapo College Self Service. The 1098-T Form can be printed if necessary.
