Fall 2007 Enrollment Highlights
- More than 4,900 applications to the freshman class were submitted, 23% more than in 2002. Admission was offered to fewer than half (48%) of the freshman applicants.
- Total undergraduate and graduate headcount is 5,689. The undergraduate enrollment is 5,381. The graduate enrollment of 301 is a 2% increase from 2005.
- Full-time enrollment accounts for 88% of the 5,381 undergraduate students.
- The class of 2011, 902 students, is the largest freshman class ever. This class is 10% larger than the class of 2010.
- Class rank for enrolled, regularly admitted freshmen has risen from the 75th percentile (top 25% of the class) in 2002 to the present 80th percentile (top 20%). Mean combined SAT scores in Critical Reading and Math are 1167 (574 Critical Reading and 593 Math). The mean grade point average for the Class of 2011 is 3.51.
- The EOF class numbers 77.
- The freshman class of 902 students comes from all 21 in New Jersey as well as from California, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and seven foreign countries.
- Undergraduate international students number 153 this semester. Thirty-seven (37) new international students enrolled this September.
- Demand for campus housing continues to increase. Eighty-five (85) percent of new freshmen chose to live on campus.
- In the 2008 edition of America’s Best Colleges, released by U.S. News & World Report, Ramapo College was a top pick, regional "Top Public Universities".
- Kiplinger’s Personal Finance ranks Ramapo as one of the 100 best values among public colleges in the United States, 2007 Edition.
- Ramapo College of New Jersey Featured in the Princeton Review Book America’s Best Value Colleges, 2008 Edition.
