Individual and group counseling will help you overcome roadblocks in your life and learn new ways to handle problems. Stop by and see us and take a break from the stress of college life. You'll find that you can really enjoy your life as you gain the competence and courage to make the changes you want. All our counselors are professionally trained, and your sessions are confidential and free.
Individual Counseling
Free, professional, confidential counseling to:
- Get relief from stress, anxiety, and/or depressed moods
- Develop greater self-esteem and a more positive outlook
- Explore the various facets of your identity (including sexual identity concerns)
- Improve the quality of your friendships and relationships
- Relate better to your family
- Improve your academic functioning
- Clarify your career interests/strengths
- Reduce your use of alcohol or drugs
- Cultivate a healthy relationship to eating
- Improve the balance in your moods
- Work through issues of sexual abuse/assault
- Understand self-defeating or self-destructive behaviors
Group Counseling
Free, confidential, professionally led groups as needed on topics such as:
- Healthy Relationships
- Healthy Eating
- Grief
- Stress Management
Educational Programs
Designed specifically for student groups, staff, or faculty to address:
- Eating disorders
- Suicide prevention
- Interpersonal violence (physical, sexual, emotional)
- Alcohol/other drug prevention (special topics for women, athletes, greeks and others)
- Self esteem/empowerment
- Anger management
- Communication skills
- Any requested topics
