Health and Counseling Services: Statement on Diversity

Health Center

An integral part of our mission at Counseling Services is to provide a safe, hospitable, and supportive environment for all persons who walk through our door. We value human diversity and are sensitive to individual differences in age, disability status, ethnicity, gender, language, nationality, physical appearance, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. In our roles as counselors and members of the college community, we seek to affirm diversity, to condemn oppression in every form, and to encourage students who may be experiencing discriminatory acts or other forms of oppression to utilize our services.

If you have experienced discrimination or oppression or have been witness to an act of oppression, you are encouraged to speak with a counselor about your thoughts, feelings, and choices regarding this experience.
