Nancy Mackin, Dean of Students.
Dean Mackin graduated from New Jersey City University with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree. She has also done extensive graduate work at New York University in Public Administration. Dean Mackin is a founding member of the Ramapo Community.
Linda Diaz, Director of Residence Life.
Ms. Diaz is a graduate of Stony Brook University and Hofstra University. She has worked in residence life positions at The College of New Jersey, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Hofstra University and Indiana State University. Ms. Diaz is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the residence halls and the overall Residence Life program. She reports to the Dean of Students.
Stephanie Barlow, Associate Director of Residence Life.
Mrs. Barlow holds a Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University and a Master’s degree from Montclair State University. She is responsible for coordinating housing operations, assignments and meal plans.
Lisa Saita, Assistant Director of Residence Life.
Ms. Saita earned a Bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University and a Master’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is responsible for all aspects of Summer Conferences and serves as the Technology Liaison for the Office of Residence Life. She is also responsible for the overall operation and supervision of Laurel Hall through Spring of 2008.
Kevin McDaniel, Area Director, The Village Apartments.
Mr. McDaniel earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bloomfield College and his Master’s from Fairfield University. He is responsible for the overall operation of the Village Apartment Complex.
Shekeitha Jeffries, Assistant for Housing Operations
Ms. Jeffries holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Residence Life in all aspects of assignments and billing.
Rachel Jaffe, Administrative Assistant
Rachel is an alumna of Ramapo College of New Jersey and holds a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts. She serves as the receptionist for the central office of Residence Life and is the office manager and supervisor of the Office of Residence Life mailroom. She also is the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Residence Life.
Residence Directors have graduated with both their Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. They are live-in staff who directly supervise the student staff and maintain the daily operations of the residence hall they are responsible for.

Graduate Residence Directors have graduated with their Bachelor’s degree and are pursuing their Master’s degree. They are live-in staff who directly supervise the student staff and maintain the daily operations of the residence areas.
Laurel Hall The Village Area

Resident Assistants and Community Assistants are typically upper-class students who have been hired based on their skills and interests to serve the resident community. They are trained to help their peers handle roommate conflicts, lead floor/building activities; plan educational, social and cultural programs, help residents stay within the guidelines of acceptable behavior, and perform a variety of administrative tasks.
A Resident Assistant’s primary goal is to establish a one-to-one relationship with each resident living in his or her area. While Community Assistants are responsible for developing a strong community atmosphere in the campus apartment facilities.
Resident Assistants and Community Assistants are valuable resources for all residents who need referrals throughout the campus. A Resident Assistant/Community Assistant is the first person to talk to whenever you have questions and concerns.
Additional student staff that work in the Office of Residence Life include the following: Desk Attendants, Mail Clerks, and Office Assistants.
